Easter morning brings with it more than just tradition. It offers a quiet joy and a rising hope — something we don’t always have words for, but know when we feel it. On Easter Sunday, 20 April at 12:00, Peace Church invites you to celebrate this hope with us in an All-Age Communion Service filled with music, prayer, story, and reflection.
We will gather around the theme “Steadfast Love: A New Cut” as part of our Lenten worship series, drawing from John 20:1–18 and the quiet, powerful story of resurrection. There will be no Sunday School — instead, children and adults will remain together in one shared space of worship.
🎶 Thine Be the Glory, Over the Mountains and the Sea, and Christ for the World We Sing will be among the songs we sing. The African Choir will join us in leading music during communion, and the Peace Band will accompany us through the service.
🌸 One of the meaningful elements of the service will be the Flowering Cross. Everyone — especially the children — is invited to take part in decorating it with fresh flowers. Please bring a flower (or more) with you to church. It’s a simple and beautiful way to express resurrection through colour, presence, and shared care.
As we come to the table of communion, we remember: in the United Methodist Church, everyone is welcome — regardless of age, background, or belief. Bread and non-alcoholic wine will be shared freely. It is a table of grace.
After the service, we’ll take a group photo and enjoy Church Coffee together in the hall or in the courtyard, depending on the weather. No pressure, no expectations — just space to connect, rest, and rejoice.
Wherever you are on your journey, come and join us as we celebrate a new cut of steadfast love.
