A Special Invitation to Deepen Your Faith

Are you ready to take the next step in your faith journey? Becoming a professing member at Peace Church is a powerful way to affirm your commitment to Christ, to our congregation, and to the worldwide United Methodist Church. On Sunday, 20th July 2025, during our All-Age Baptismal Covenant Service, you will have the opportunity to take this step.

At Peace Church, we are blessed with a welcoming and diverse congregation. Whether you attend regularly or are new to the church, you are already an important part of our community. However, professing membership is a way to say, "This is my church, and I am committed to growing in faith here."

In the United Methodist Church, baptism is the foundation of church membership. Baptised members are already full members of the church, embraced by God's grace. However, professing membership is a conscious decision to take the vows of membership and fully participate in the life of the church through worship, service, prayer, and giving.

For those who were baptised as infants or young children, this step is a personal affirmation of faith. And for those who have not yet been baptised, professing membership includes baptism, marking a sacred and joyful entrance into the life of the church.

Every year, we set aside a special Sunday to celebrate commitment to Christ and His Church. This year, our All-Age Baptismal Covenant Service on Sunday, 20th July 2025 will be an opportunity for individuals of all ages to affirm their faith, receive baptism, or step into professing membership.

This isn’t just a personal milestone—it’s a moment that strengthens our entire church. When someone stands before the congregation to take their vows, we are all reminded of our own calling as disciples. It is a time of renewal, encouragement, and joy.

At Peace Church, we value every single person—whether baptised or not. No one’s worth is measured by membership status. What matters most is the journey of faith, and we are honoured to walk that journey together.
