We are excited to invite you to the World Day of Prayer 2025, hosted by Peace Church United Methodist in Munich. This special service will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 7 PM, at our church located at Chiemgaustraße 7, 81549 München. Convenient public transport options include U1 to St-Quirin-Platz or Bus 220/Bus 147.
The World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women, welcoming all to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. Each year, a different country prepares the service, and this year, our sisters from the Cook Islands have developed the theme "I Made You Wonderful," inspired by Psalm 139:14. This theme reminds us that each of us is fearfully and wonderfully made by God, encouraging us to appreciate our own worth and to treat others as equally cherished creations.
Our service will feature elements that highlight the rich culture and history of the Cook Islands, including traditional songs and activities that reflect their vibrant heritage. It's an opportunity to experience the unity and diversity of the global Christian community.
At Peace Church United Methodist, we are a multicultural, English-speaking congregation that embraces people from all walks of life. Our community is a tapestry of individuals from over 25 different nations, coming together to worship and support one another. We believe in open hearts, open minds, and open doors, and we would be delighted to welcome you to this special service.
Please join us for an evening of meaningful worship, cultural enrichment, and communal prayer. Whether you're a long-time member or a first-time visitor, there's a place for you here. Let's come together to celebrate our shared faith and the wonderful creation that each of us embodies.
